 Kembali kita dalam JJJM- Cameron Highland edition (Feb 12th, 2009)..sempena birthday aku, Izzo bawakla aku jejalan ke Cameron Highland disebabkan hmate sendiri pun tak der apa2 plan utk aku sbbnya aku sendiri yg ckp x nak celebrate this year..well memang pun sbnrnya malas sbb umur dah meningkat..tapi aku tau semua tu angka sahaja..tak meninggalkan kesan pada diriku.. sempena birthday ni..i just wish my career lebih berjaya dan dimurahkan rezeki selalu..

Kembali dalam sesi trip kali ini..mmg salah satu tempat yg mmg dalam list aku bg thn 2009 ni.. Cameron Highland. Kita ikuti my journey ke sana..  seperti biasa sejarah serba sedikit Cameron Highland…

Cameron Highlands is a highland region located about 121 km east of Ipoh and about 214 km north of Kuala Lumpur, in Pahang, Malaysia. At 5,000 ft (1,500 m) above sea level it is the highest area on the mainland, enjoys a cool climate, with temperatures no higher than 25 °C and rarely falls below 12°C year-round.

Cameron Highlands has a unique piece of history. It all begins in 1885 when a British Surveyor named William Cameron, accompanied by his companion, Kulop Riau, went on a mapping expedition of the Titiwangsa Range. In the expedition, they used elephants to carry them for months in a journey to explore the Titiwangsa Range. They started their adventurous tour from Tanjung Rambutan and started to trace the Kinta river to its origin. They then went through the Titiwangsa Range in a south – easterly direction. Not long after that, they stood on the summit of Mount Pondok Challi. Cameron reported that he saw a plateau, of an elevation of 4,400 to 4,500ft. But Cameron failed to mark his find on the map. In the 1920s, the location of the plateau was finally confirmed by a consensus of reports from subsequent expeditions. That’s how Cameron Highlands was discovered. To honor his discoveries, the highlands is named.
