Comment: Filem ni dikatakan menelan belanja US$80million, filem paling mahal kosnya di Asia, arahan director John Woo. Bagi aku filem
ni biasa jer sebab tak banyak aksi yang ditonjolkan. Agak slow jalan ceritanya tapi tak der la membosankan walaupun citernya agak lama
kira2 2jam 15 minit. Mengisahkan peperangan zaman dinasti warlord Cao Cao atau lebih best citer ni dikatakan “The Chronicles of the Three Kingdom”.

“Bride Wars – and whether they’re at “war” or at peace – their friendship will always be their top priority. And BRIDE WARS, despite its title, is at its heart a celebration of friendship. “The film says that your friends are going to be there for you forever”

March 08-Movie Review

Hi kawan2

Sempena bulan yang baik ini, I will try to create my own review for the movie that I just watched. Pls check under “movie review” column yeah !!

1) Movie : THE MIST  The Mist
Date: 21 March 2008/1015pm
Location: Paradise, Baiduri Apartment
Rating : 3star/5star
Review:

The Mist” to be a highly effective piece of horror. King’s talent for instilling fear manifests well in this small town story – not because the aliens or monsters are so frightening – but because the desperation from facing an unknown danger is so realistic. Director Frank Darabont, who wrote the screenplay for “The Shawshank Redemption” (1994) and “The Green Mile” (1995), captures King’s chilling notions of human ugliness with good precision in this story about how a group of people stuck inside a supermarket learn to survive a mysterious mist that kills!

For people who like horror movie but not like horror, dont know what to say, you may watch this movie.

2)10000bc Movie : 10000 BC
Date: 08 March 2008/0615pm
Location: TGV, KLCC
Rating : 3star/5star
Review:

It was a time when men and beast were untamed and the mighty mammoth roamed the earth. A time when ideas and beliefs were born that forever shaped mankind. “10,000 BC” follows a young hunter (Steven Strait) on his quest to lead an army across a vast desert, battling sabre-toothed tigers and prehistoric predators as he unearths a lost civilisation and attempts to rescue the woman he loves (Camilla Belle) from an evil warlord determined to possess her.

The movie does have its good points. Character and set design were simply amazing and D’Leh indeed takes us on an adventure across different lands, coming across unique sets of tribes each time – each with their own costumes, languages and beliefs.

3) duyong Movie : DUYONG
Date: 16 March 2008/1015pm
Location: HBO, Galaxy Ampang
Rating : 1.5star/5star
Review:

“Duyung” is a light-hearted fantasy romantic comedy. The movie revolves around Jimmy, a nature-loving man who lives in a fishing village and spends his time looking after the environment by clearing rubbish. He has always believed in the myth told by his mother that if the environment is looked after, a mermaid would appear.

Apart from its poor ending, “Duyung” is actually a good watch for those who need something to do to fill their time. The message that it delivers (preserve the environment) is a good reminder to us all.
